Julie has been part of creating and growing seven successful Restaurant & Café businesses over her career to date. An author, radio food sleuth and a curious mind, Julie is a lover of hospitality. She is a keen advocate of NZ produce: seeking out, promoting and using local & national growers seasonally, long before it was fashionable. Developing relationships with people of the land and showcasing their work in her establishments, her aim is to be part of telling the New Zealand food story through dishes on the menu and through preserves made on site.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Martin has opened award winning world-class restaurants, including being named the Supreme Winner Cuisine Magazine Restaurant of the Year in 2007. For 13 years he was the food columnist for Air NZ’s in-flight magazine 'Kia Ora' and now contributes a regular column in Cuisine magazine. He has been commissioned by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise as a Chef Ambassador to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Japan and San Francisco. Martin co-founded Wellington’s iconic City Market, a weekly food and wine market showcasing Wellington’s artisan and bespoke producers. Known for his love for all things piscine, he manages Yellow Brick Road, a Maori-owned sustainable seafood business.

Shaun is Head Chef and Partner of Logan Brown, Wellington’s celebrated fine dining restaurant, as well as Grill Meats Beer, a buzzing casual dining experience. Shaun began his career as a chef and has held multiple roles as an advocate for NZ’s food industry. Shaun's philosophy is to use only the best local and seasonal ingredients sourced from ethical and environmentally friendly producers and suppliers.

Sanjay is the former co-owner of family owned-and-operated Cuba Fruit Mart that supplied Wellington’s restaurant industry for over 50 years before it was acquired. Sanjay knows the industry inside and out, and knows the challenges it faces first-hand. He’s an early investor in HospoConnect, and provides critical advice & referrals.

Simon has worked in the food industry around the globe for more than 25 years in Australia, Europe, the US and back home in New Zealand. He is the owner of Egmont St Eatery and The Catering Studio in Wellington. Egmont St Eatery has been operating for 6 years, having been in the Cuisine top 100 awards twice, and won the converted Burger Welly in 2015. The Catering Studio has been operating for 14 years, having won the Outstanding Caterer award at the Felix Wellington Hospitality Awards in 2018, and was nominated again in 2019 and 2020. Outside of the food scene, Simon is passionate about music, gardening, outdoors and snow sports, and his two boys.

Nilesh has more than 25 years in technology leadership roles in Sydney, Singapore, and New York with a focus on disruption, and the role that technology plays in increasing scale, global reach, the ability to manage risk, and transparency. Nilesh is excited about bringing his experience and skills back home to New Zealand where he is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Fisher Funds.

Ramesh comes from a Digital Product & Innovation background in the wealth management industry. Developing deep customer empathy and strong relationships enables Ramesh to uncover problems and challenges that he converts into innovative solutions. He grew up in his parent’s fruit & vegetable business & has a postgraduate degree in Agricultural Economics.

Mike has held design & development roles in his career, forming a successful UX team within Te Papa and holding senior design roles in successful Wellington digital agencies. He has a Bachelor in Psychology, Diploma in Web Development and has studied design at Massey.

Dion has been exporting NZ food & beverage for more than 10 years. From his own Origin South lamb business, to Cloudy Bay Clams, and wine brands, Dion has travelled the world developing export markets. With local and global connections, Dion is passionate about helping NZ producers showcase their products to the world.

Cam has worked in the digital industry for over 10 years, most recently as Technical Delivery Director at Springload. He has worked with multiple startups, and has a Bachelor of Commerce in E-Commerce and Information Systems from Victoria University.
