Our intuitive app-based ordering experience for buyers (typically chefs and bar staff), provides crystal clear orders for suppliers. In turn, suppliers collate their daily orders for fulfilment and invoicing in a matter of minutes on our digital platform, with lower costs and fewer errors.

Taking NZ food & beverage to the world

Through our Export Growth Service, we connect NZ’s amazing food & beverage suppliers and products to international buyers while reducing the cost of global logistics. This service empowers NZ suppliers of all sizes, particularly those who have never exported before, and contributes to growing NZ’s export revenue.

Sharing a meal, raising a glass – these are fundamentals of being human. Food connects us. But as the pace of life gets faster and living costs rise, the margins for food & beverage business owners get slimmer and stress levels increase.

Our goal is to connect the hospitality industry together – on a single platform – to do business better. It’s about the power of intuitive technology meeting the passion of the food & beverage industry to bring people together.

How it started

103 years in the making

In 1919, two young men set off together on a boat journey to NZ from their rural village in the Gujarat state of India. They left in search of new opportunities in a country they knew little about. Both eventually set up their own fruit & veggie businesses in Wellington, later passing these businesses onto their respective sons. Sanjay Dayal and Ramesh Naran, the third generation, worked in these family businesses in school holidays and weekends, developing a strong friendship much like their grandfathers.

Continuing the legacy

In 2017, Sanjay and Ramesh saw an opportunity to bring a technology to transform an industry their grandfathers started out in. Bringing Mike Higham in to design the platform in his ‘spare’ time, HospoConnect was born. Starting local then going global with HospoConnect is a great way to continue the legacy started 103 years ago.
